How Agape works

1. Create a free account

Open app.agapechristiandating.com in a browser, or install Agape from Google Play. You must be 18 or older. Sign up with email and confirm it. The same login works on web and Android. If a friend sends you a link, you still go through this step — there is no anonymous browsing of other people's photos.

2. Build a profile a pastor could read without cringing

Photos first: recent, well-lit, actually you. Include at least one clear face photo. Group shots where nobody can tell who you are waste everyone's time. Your bio should answer three things a serious person will ask anyway: how you live your faith, what kind of relationship you want, and what an ordinary week looks like. “God-fearing king/queen seeking Proverbs 31” is not a personality.

You will also choose denomination, church attendance, love language, and dating intention (marriage, dating, get to know first, friendship, or unsure). Those fields power filters. Lying here is how you end up in conversations that should never have started.

3. Filter like you mean it

Discover and Explore show people who fit what you asked for: distance, age, denomination, and other values you set. You can look for Catholics, Orthodox Christians, Baptists, Pentecostals, Anglicans, Lutherans, Methodists, Presbyterians, evangelicals, nondenominational believers, and more. Filters are not a holiness ranking. They are a way to stop wasting Friday night on a mismatch you would have noticed in the first church conversation.

Location (when you allow it) keeps the stack local enough that a first coffee is geographically possible. If the app thinks you live in another country, check permissions and VPNs. The FAQ covers the usual location glitches.

4. Like, pass, Super Like, rewind

Like someone you would actually meet. Pass if you would not. There is no prize for a full like-history. A Super Like tells the other person you are particularly interested and can open a path to message sooner. Free accounts start with a few Super Likes; you can buy more, and Premium adds more each billing period up to a cap of 100. Rewind brings back the last pass when you tapped too fast. Free members get a daily rewind when they have none left; Premium can rewind without that daily gate.

5. Match, then talk like a neighbor

A match means you both opted in. Say hello with something specific from their profile — a church, a hobby, a photo — not “hey” and not a copied sermon. Free messaging uses match starter credits, one free message per day, then any credits you hold. Premium members message without those caps. Photo sharing in chat requires a verified profile so it is harder to hide behind stolen pictures.

If the conversation turns rude, sexual in a way you did not consent to, or financial, leave. Block and report. You do not owe a stranger access to your attention.

6. Verify when you are ready

Verification is a live selfie we compare to your photos. Pending means we have not finished review. Approved puts a badge on your profile. Rejected means try again with a clearer live photo that matches you. We are checking that the person on the account looks like the photos — not that they tithe.

7. Optional Premium

You can use Agape without paying. Premium is for people who want unlimited messages, unlimited rewinds, a list of profile visitors, and extra Super Likes. Web checkout uses Stripe; Android uses Google Play. Prices and refunds are on Pricing and Refunds. Cancel in Shop → Manage Subscription on the web, or in Google Play on Android.

8. Leave well

You can unmatch, block, or delete your account. Deletion hides you immediately and permanently removes data after a 30-day restore window. Cancel billing separately so a subscription does not keep charging. Instructions: Account deletion and Help.
